Review Post: Saving Tatum by Micalea Smeltzer

My Review:

Saving Tatum was my Favorite book in the series, It was hands down so fun to read and Jude and Tate are so fun and easy going once you get to know them. I have to say I my love this book because I relate to the characters a bit more than I did throughout the other books, though. I love them in their own ways also. In Saving Tatum, We see a young Tate straggles with life after the loss of her brother, her parents are there but not as they should be. So Tatum had to grow up and fast so fast that she has a hard time remembering what it’s like to be care free and have fun. She doesn’t have friend’s she goes to classes and hurry’s back home.

There one person Tate, has and that’s Rowan and they are best friends. They study together a couple times a week after school together, the only problem Tate has with this is. Rowan also has invited Jude; Tate hates Jude and blame’s Jude for her brother’s death. She hate’s Jude so much that she is downright mean to him. He doesn’t get why, and it’s his mission to figure out why… Jude Brooks has had his eye on Tatum since High school; she’s always been different than all the other girls. The thing is she can’t see it for herself. So when Tate has a paper she needs to do research for and she asks Rowan if she can shadow her, but Rowan said no, she was just too busy with the wedding and kids and life, Jude offered to let Tate shadow him. Tate refused right away, but after some convincing from Rowan and Jude and no time to change her idea for her paper she agreed to shadow Jude. Which turned out to be an okay thing, they slowly got to know each other and Jude slowly knocked down Tate’s walls.

Saving Tatum isn’t just a love story it’s about saving yourself, learning to stand on your own two feet and being okay with who you are as a person by yourself. About learning to let people in to help you isn’t always a bad thing and family isn’t always blood, it’s the people that are there for you and that love and support you, no matter what. It’s okay not to know all the answers and it’s okay to be scared, as long as you have your loved ones by your side. I give Saving Tatum 5 + stars
