Until Tristan has an idea that will change his life and fulfill his dying grandmother’s wishes: Abandon his playboy ways and settle down. And who better to do it with than Senia, the girl who has occupied his thoughts since their scorching hot tryst in the back of his sports car. The girl who makes him laugh and feel like a kid again. Or will he abandon Senia when she needs  him the most?

Our 5 + Star Review:

Abandon  is a spin off of the Shattered Hearts Series by Cassia Leo.  This story focuses on Tristan and Senia and is told mainly in Tristan’s point of view.  Throughout the first three books in this series we get to briefly meet Tristan and know him as an easygoing player rockstar.
Reading Abandon, we realize Tristan is a totally different guy than what we considered him before. Once we see what he’s hiding under his tough guy act, we get to know and see Tristan for who he really is, and we learn his secrets from when he was a young boy.  What Tristan endeared was truly heartbreaking. We learn so much from why Tristan is a womanizer to his love he has for Grandma Flo and Molly.  We also learn how his Friendship with Chris Knight may have just saved his life.
But Tristan’s life is turned upside down  after his run in with Siena at Yogertland.
“I can’t promise that.  What happened outside of Yogurtland was one of the smartest mistakes I’ve made in a long time.  I hope i get to make those kind of mistakes with you…. forever. “
Tristan also gets some really horrible news  that is going to change everything for everyone important in his life. Now Tristan has to decide what he’s going to do:  run or do the right thing.
“My only wish is that the ones I love never feel the need to abandon hope.”
Abandon is about growth, acceptance, trust, and true love.  This is one story we will never forget!
“I think I’m finally starting to realize that love isn’t about fixing things or people.  It’s about sticking around when things can’t be fixed.”
We  give ABANDON 5 + STARS.  Tristan is AMAZING and  sexy as He** and trust us,  you will not regret picking up this book.

CHAPTER THIRTEEN
Excerpt

When I open my front door, I’m not surprised to see her in jeans. She thinks the extra clothing will deter me.
“Welcome to my not-so-humble abode.”
“This house is way too big for one person,” she says as she turns her back to me so I can take her coat.
I slip the coat off and hang it up in the coat closet as she glances around the foyer at the marble floors, the sweeping curved staircase, and the enormous industrial era chandelier.
“You want something to drink,” I ask as I take a few steps toward the kitchen, hoping she’ll follow me instead of standing there with her mouth agape.
“The only thing that’s missing in here is a ten-foot-tall self-portrait.”
“That’s in the study.”
She turns to me and purses her lips. “Exactly how rich are you?”
“I’m not rich. I’m wealthy.”
She sighs as she follows me into the kitchen. I open the refrigerator and pull out a bottle of water. When I turn around to hand it to her, she’s too busy admiring the glossy white cabinets to notice. I press the cold bottle against the back of her neck and she gasps as she steps aside.
“You bastard!” she cries. I chuckle as I hold the bottle out to her and she waits a moment before she takes it. “You’re a child. How the hell are you able to live here by yourself without setting the house on fire?”
“Baby, this house has been set on fire multiple times.”
“Ugh. You are such a player,” she groans, holding her hands out as I approach her. “Don’t touch me.”
“That won’t last long.”
“Are we talking about your erection?”
I chuckle as her hands press against my chest. “Your humor only turns me on even more.”
She pushes me hard and quickly scoots sideways to get away from me. “We need to talk,” she says as she scurries around the kitchen island and takes a seat at the breakfast bar with her bottle of water. “I’m scared shitless.”
“I can help you with that.”
“With what?” she whispers breathlessly as I stand behind the barstool and brush her ponytail aside.

“All of it. If you want to talk, we’ll talk.” I kiss the back of her neck and the plastic water bottle in her handle crackles as she tightens her grip.

RELEASE DAY BLITZ BETTING ON YOU BY SYDNEY LANDON

Synopsis:

In this seductive new novella from New York Times bestselling author Sydney Landon, Mia Gentry refuses to give up her independence—until Seth Jackson shows her just how hot losing control can be…

Living the life of a rich socialite was never in Mia’s plans, much to the chagrin of her wealthy parents. She’s made her own way, studying computer science at Brown and snagging a coveted position with Danvers International after graduation. Her plan to avoid parental involvement seems to be going well until her mother buys her a date at a charity auction—with the hot resort owner who she’s been eyeing on her latest work project.

Seth never mixes business with pleasure, but something about Mia drives him to distraction. Giving into his desires for just one night will hopefully clear his head enough to keep his hands off her during office hours.

But when one mind-blowing night turns into weeks of flirtation, frustration, and companionship, Mia realizes that their workplace fling may be developing into more—and that Seth might be the perfect man she’s been waiting for…

Excerpt:

Sticking his hand out, he said, “It’s Seth and you must be Mia. I take it Margie showed you around. Did you have any other questions?”
“Nope, I think Margie gave me the 411 on everything. I’m just going over your equipment now. Do you want to keep your hard drive? I can dispose of it, but some people are funny about that.”
Seth couldn’t believe that the words equipment and hard drive had his cock stirring to attention. What in the hell was wrong with him? Why was he suddenly incapable of thinking of anything other than bending her over the control desk and fucking her senseless? He had to get out of this room before she noticed the tent in the front of his trousers. “Um, yeah, you can just keep it. I’m sure my hard drive will be safe with you.” Holy shit, did I actually just say that to her? So not cool. Just get out now before this gets worse. “I’ve got to get back to my office. Just let Margie know if you need anything.”
Mia looked at him in confusion and then to the space beyond him. “Isn’t that your office?”
“Oh, sure, yes. I meant to say, I was heading to lunch. You might be gone when I get back.” God, he really hoped so.
She looked down at her watch, seeming surprised by the time. Almost as if by some cruel twist of fate, her stomach growled at the same moment. “Where are you going for lunch?”
Before thinking better of it, he said, “I usually grab something from the restaurant downstairs. They have an excellent lunch buffet.”
Mia moaned and Seth started sweating harder. “Oh, they so totally do. It’s been ages since I’ve eaten there. Do you mind if I tag along? I hate to eat alone and I’m starving.”
“Er . . . sure. Just give me five minutes to finish a few things and I’ll be ready.” He could only imagine what she thought he had to “finish up” when he headed straight for his private restroom on the other side of his office. He just needed a few minutes to collect himself before what would undoubtedly be a long lunch hour.

About the Author:

Sydney Landon lives in Greenville, South Carolina and has spent the last twenty-five years working in accounting. Sydney met her own prince charming in 2000 and received the most romantic proposal on a pier in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, thus creating her eternal love for the city. The fact that her future husband was a fellow computer geek completely sealed the deal for her. She credits him with keeping her calm and rational while also understanding her need for a new pair of shoes every other week. They have two children who keep life interesting and borderline insane, but never boring. The idea of the Danvers’ Series popped into her head and refused to go away. She started writing the first story never imagining that it would ever be finished. Three months later it turned into her first book, Weekends Required. Within a few months, it had quickly made the best-seller list on Amazon, and went on to make the New York Times Best Seller List.  Barely taking a breath between books, Sydney followed up with the second book in the series, Not Planning on You. Within the first month, this book also became a best-seller. The third book in the series, Fall For Me was released in February 2013 and became a New York Times Best Seller.  The fourth book in the series, Fighting For You releases in paperback in February 2014.  Sydney is currently working on the fifth book in the Danvers’ Series. When she isn’t writing, Sydney enjoys reading, swimming and being a mini-van driving, soccer mom.

Other Books in the Series

Claire Walters has worked for Jason Danvers as his assistant for three years, but he’s never appreciated her as a woman—until the day she jumps out of a cake at his friend’s bachelor party.… To support her ailing mother, Claire is forced to work a second job at a party-planning company. But when her handsome boss ends up with a front-row seat to the action, she’s mortified—and he’s intrigued.

With Danvers International in the middle of an important merger, Jason asks Claire to accompany him on weekend business trips—and suddenly all her fantasies are coming true. Her outspoken best friend thinks that getting a little “executive attention” will solve everything. But Claire sees more in Jason than just sex.

Jason is determined to know how the beautiful, sexy woman in the cake could also be his mousy assistant. The more time they spend together, the more he realizes how much fun it can be to mix business with pleasure. And how much he wants to offer her a happily ever after of her own….

Suzy Denton thought she had it all: a great job as an event planner for Danvers International and a committed relationship to her high school sweetheart...

But now her life has gone to hell in a hand-basket. Not only did she discover her fiancĂ© cheating, but a recent corporate merger is making her job very difficult—mostly due to Grayson Merimon, wealthy CEO. Gray is a man who goes after what he wants. And, after their first meeting, he wants Suzy.

Even though he looks like every fantasy she’s ever had, Suzy is wary of the powerful businessman. She likes her newfound independence, even if her best friend thinks it’s an excuse not to risk her heart again. Besides, she doesn’t think Gray could ever be interested in a relationship with someone like her. When he calls her bluff, Suzy agrees to one night together.

But when circumstances continue to throw them together—and with Gray determined to show her that two opposites can be a perfect fit—Suzy realizes that she might just have found the one man who can give her what she always needed….

All her life, Beth Denton battled both her weight and her controlling parents. And now that she’s declared victory, she’s looking for her prince charming… Beth has always lived in her outgoing sister’s shadow, plagued by her own insecurity about her body. It’s time for her to step out from the sidelines and experience what life has to offer—then she’s laid off from her teaching job, and has to rely on her sister to get her a job at Danvers International.

Nick Merimon is gorgeous, wealthy, and a well-known playboy—just the sort of man Beth has always avoided. But even she can’t deny the sparks that are flying between them. He could be just the man to show her what she’s been missing all these years. And after they share one heart-stopping night together, she is surprised when it leads to a relationship.

But as their connection grows, and the realities of their romance begin to show, Beth will have to overcome both her own insecurities and her doubts about Nick’s intentions if her newfound pleasures are to last forever…

Ella Webber has spent years uncomfortable around the opposite sex…

But as soon as she meets handsome Declan Stone, she is smitten. Quickly they become friends, finding frequent reasons to see each other around the office, and Ella longs for even more. So—with a little help from her friends—Ella resorts to performing a little seduction. One that Declan will never be able to resist.

Burdened by emotional baggage from his time in the Marine Corps, Declan refuses to believe he’s the right man for sweet Ella. Even if she makes him long for normal things, like marriage and family….But in his attempts to close off his heart from her love, could he have underestimated Ella’s powers of persuasion?

Dax As I sit here in my truck staring at the note her best friend left me, I can’t help but replay the first day I told her I loved her over and over in my mind. I had never said those three words to any other girl in my entire life, and when I said them to her, she melted. I melted right along with her, but I clearly remember her melting. I had the one woman I had ever wanted in my arms as I made love to her in her pool. With every moan and every look, the feeling intensified. I never wanted to let this girl go, and as I whispered those three little words into her ear, as I thrust myself deep inside of her one last time, I knew in that instant that she would forever have my heart.

EXCERPT

There are moments in life that you know will be burned into your memory forever. Chris calls these “movie screen moments” — where everything slows down and you know that something important is about to happen that will change the course of the story. He says that the best songs are written about movie screen moments. I don’t know if this is true. All I know is that this is one of those moments.
I can feel it in the air. And I know that when I look back, I’ll remember everything about this moment in time; the smells, the tastes, the sounds, and the touch. The touch.
Chris and I are both sitting on the carpet with our backs leaned against the sofa, our fingers woven together as MTV plays in the background. This is something we’ve done every day for the past six weeks, ever since summer break began. As soon as Jackie leaves for work in the morning, we both get up and have breakfast together. He usually makes me a bowl of cereal or I make us both some scrambled eggs. Then we hang out in the living room for a few hours until his friends come over. Sometimes, Chris plays his guitar for me. Sometimes, we sit here and pretend to watch MTV, holding hands while Mr. Miyagi lays out across both of our laps, begging to be petted. Well, I don’t know if Chris is pretending to watch MTV, but I know I am.
All I can seem to think about when I’m near Chris is whether or not this will last or if he will be just another person I have to lose. But this doesn’t stop me from enjoying these hours spent together. I’ve never been happier in all my life. Not even when my mom was alive.
I’ll admit. I was sort of hoping today would be different then all the other mornings Chris and I have hung out. Not that I don’t like this small moment of closeness we share every day. But today’s my sixteenth birthday. I guess I figured that would make today even more special for us. I was kind of hoping I might get my first kiss.
“Tristan’s coming over in half an hour and we’re going to the mall. You want to come?”
My heart sinks a little. Chris knows that Tristan and I don’t get along very well. He hasn’t even wished me a happy birthday and now he’s leaving to hang out with Tristan.
I try to let go of his hand and he tightens his grip. “What’s wrong?”
I attempt to pull my hand away again and this time he lets go. “I don’t want to go to the mall.”
“Are you okay?”
I stand up and he immediately stands with me. “I’m just tired. I think I’m gonna go back to bed.”
I take a few steps, but he grabs my hand to stop me. When I look over my shoulder at him, he’s wearing a crooked smile. “Can you take Mr. Miyagi upstairs with you?”
My shoulders slump as I turn toward Chris’s Shiba Inu where he’s lounging on the sofa.
Chris chuckles. “I’m only kidding. I’m not going anywhere with Tristan today. I’m taking you for a ride.”
“What?”
“On my bike.”
“I’m not going on that thing.”
Chris got his motorcycle license the week after he turned sixteen less than three months ago. He’s been trying to get me to ride with him on his crappy racing bike ever since the first time I let him hold my hand.
“Come on,” he pleads. “I have something I want to show you, but I want to do it alone. I don’t want to ask Tristan to take us. Please?”
I stare into his eyes for a moment and he tilts his head. His brown hair always looks calculatedly messy, the way it’s just long enough to cover his ears yet still sticks out in all the right places. His skin is so smooth; I often find myself wishing I could press my lips to his cheek just to feel the softness of his skin. And don’t even get me started on the metal stud in his tongue. The way he plays with it when he’s tuning his guitar gives me butterflies. I don’t know what Chris sees in me other than the way my hand seems to fit so perfectly in his.
He pulls me a little closer and lifts my hand to his mouth. My heart races as he lays a soft kiss on my knuckles. “Claire, it’s your birthday. And I know you probably haven’t had a whole lot of birthdays you want to remember for the rest of your life, but I want this birthday to be the one you never forget. Let me take you for a ride.”
I stare at his lips as he says these words and that’s when it happens. This is that moment; the moment where everything slows down and nothing is ever the same.

Our Review

4.5 STARS
In the Fields is such a touching book, it will touch your heart in so many ways and leave you with a smile on your face.  In the beginning of the story you meet a very young girl named Caroline.  She wakes up every morning and makes her momma and daddy breakfast and takes her dog out.  Caroline comes from a small town where the blacks and the whites are from different sides of the track and do not mix.  Caroline’s home life isn’t one that would be traditional.  Her daddy is a drunk and her mommy has other things to do than raise her daughter.  The only person she has is Isaiah. Isaiah is her school friend and they become close over time, they go through so much together.  Caroline is truly one of the strongest characters I have ever read about.  Certain heartbreaking and gut wrenching circumstances force her to move away from her home to an unknown city.  Moving away was bitter sweet.  She left her Isaiah, but met some amazing life long friends.  Through the years she finds forgiveness to those around her, love, trust, and the comfort and support she so desperately deserved.

It’s really hard to write this review without giving away major points of this story, but we truly loved this book.  It’s hard to imagine and wrap your head around the fact that these issues weren’t that long ago.  It’s sad that interracial couples had no chance at being together because of judgmental people. Do yourself a favor and pick up this book. It is truly remarkable and Willow Aster’s writing is beautiful.

Gabriel's Redemption by Sylvain Reynard

GABRIELS REDEMPTION BY SYLVAIN REYNARD

From the author of the New York Times bestsellers Gabriel’s Rapture and Gabriel’s Inferno comes the epic conclusion to the captivating romantic trilogy. Professor Gabriel Emerson has left his position at the University of Toronto to embark on a new life with his beloved Julianne. Together, he’s confident that they can face any challenge. And he’s eager to become a father. But Julianne’s graduate program threatens Gabriel’s plans, as the pressures of being a student become all consming. And in Oxford, several individuals from their past appear, including an old nemesis intent on humiliating Julia and exposing one of Gabriel’s darkest secrets. In an effort to confront his remaining demons, Gabriel begins a quest to discover more about his biological parents, beginning a chain of events that has startling repercussions for himself, Julianne, and his hope of having a family.

Our reviews:  5 STARS
Gabriel's Redemption was one of the most anticipated books of 2013 and I was impatient expecting it's release. It was a perfect conclusion to one of my favorite series.  Sylvain Reynard's writing is IMPECCABLE, he has a way to get in to the skin of people that have some sensibility for Arts and music.
I loved these characters from the first book and can not imagined a better development for the them and the story, I'm gonna miss the Professor Emerson and his beloved Julianne, but the way he finished it made me happy, I got the kind of HEA that I wished for Gabriel and His wife And And surprisingly for all the secondary characters too! Well done SR, I Love these books!
I highly recommend Gabriel's Inferno Trilogy ! And definitely I will read his next work!

Gabriel's Redemption was an unexpected treasure. All us loyal fans were excited when Sylvain Reynard announced "Gabriel's Redemption" was being written. This book was packed with so much more than the previous two. I still love "Gabriel's Inferno" & "Gabriel's Rapture" in truth they will always be my favorite but the third is different. Now when I say different I mean that in a good way we get to see so much more of all the characters and feeling from them. I enjoyed reading and seeing a happy Gabriel and a whole new side to him. In Gabriel's Redemption you get to see what's happening with all the characters and some of the nasty ones we didn't like make appearances throughout. In this book Gabriel and Julia are adjusting to life as a married couple and the little bumps along the way. The struggles of daily life, school and marriage. Gabriel takes a strong lead role in this book. His focus on making sure Julia can accomplish all she wants and it be her time in the spotlight. The Gabriel we met in "Gabriel's Inferno" and the one now are almost two complete opposites. Reading Gabriel's Redemption it shows you how much he has grown, healed and changed to be a better man. I truly loved the book because it also tied up other loose ends with other characters. I plan on re-reading all three again as I love the characters that much. It's an amazing book that out surpassed my expectations and hopes! It's a must read!

I stood at the cold dark water’s edge, my reflection staring back at me from the glasslike surface. The reflection of a girl that I no longer knew. I breathed in the overwhelming scent of pine and recognized the tranquility that surrounded me. The soft hum of the city in the distance, the echo of an eagle’s cry overhead, the steady drum of my heart—the only sounds that could be heard in the quiet serenity that was present all around me. Inside an entirely different scene existed. Whirling thoughts, like hurricane-force winds, blew through my mind while a dark, thunderous storm was raging inside my soul, cutting the power to the central organ of my existence—my heart. I was destined to weather this storm on my own. After all, like Mother Nature, I was the controlling force behind these conditions. I threw a stone into the mirrored surface of the water before me and watched the small circular wave expand from the point where it broke through the stillness. It was hard not to think of the stone as the choice I had made, the choice that inevitably created waves in the smooth waters of my life. The first lie, like the first ripple in the water, seemed so small but quickly became more significant. Each wave growing in size and depth, impossible to stop. The effect from that one choice spread through my life like the ripple moving across the surface of the water. I longed for the stillness.
                                       Our Review

Then Adam leaves for collage and Kendi  still has a year of high school left but there love is strong  enough to make it. While Adam is at Collage Kendi is home and finds out something that could cause Adam to lose her forever. This something is so HUGH You are not sure if they can or will recover from it.
I have to say I was shocked by what this HUGH something is and you will be too! They both keep and have so many secrets and they are not what you would have thought or guessed! I went through so many emotions while reading Ripple , It is definitely worth your time to read and I highly recommend it! You will fall in love with all the Characters and be left wanting more. So we are left with one Question will there be a sequel to Ripple?

LD Author Pic
Facebook / Goodreads L.D. Cedergreen has always enjoyed writing. It started as short stories, and later developed into poetry–some of which has been published–and now her first full-length novel. She’s a vivid day dreamer, a passionate reader, and a fan of all music. She is a small town girl at heart. Originally from Washington State, she now resides in Southern California with her husband and two little ones. As much as she would like to call herself a beach girl, she is–without a doubt– grounded by her small town roots.
